Neva BZ provides access to the Diamond Lake BZ.
Need to know
· The most common Trailheads (TH) to access this BZ are Hessie TH and Fourth of July TH. The parking at these trailheads fill up very quickly. There is a summer shuttle to the Hessie TH from Nederland High School.
· The larger Neva BZ surrounds the smaller Diamond Lake BZ.
· Pets must be on a hand-held leash at all times.
· Pack out all trash.
· Campfires are prohibited year-round.
· Campsites must be 100ft from lakes, streams, or trails.
· Minimize all noise to help maintain solitude.
· Bury human waste in catholes six to eight inches deep, at least 200 feet from water, and carry out toilet paper.
· Do all washing at least 200 feet from water sources.
· Livestock are prohibited on the Diamond Lake Trail (#975) and within the Diamond Lake BZ.

NEVA BZ (Backcountry zone) surrounds the Diamond Lake BZ and is less restrictive about camping. It still has some permits available. No developed sites and might need to find a spot to camp a 1/2 mi or so away from the lake. Only 2 permits left for Saturday I may go ahead and book. What do you think?
There are 7 campsites at Diamond lake. 1 is for groups larger than 8 only. $5 PERMIT required to camp in this Wilderness Area. About 75% of sites can be reserved a year in advance (none of those are available) the rest can be reserved starting 3 days before the trip date.

Also one review on ths reservation site says parking permit also required... have not been able to verify that.
